FAQ How do I Rent & Return Hospital-Grade Breast Pump or Baby Scale?

Choose your rental duration and order on line or call our rental team at Worldwide Surgical to arrange a Hospital-Grade Breast Pump or Lactation Baby Scale Rental. Rental agreement will be provided upon checkout or emailed to you in virtual form to ease up the process. Valid credit card and form of id is required. * You may also rent your breast pump or baby scale in person at our Brooklyn location during business hours. We recommend reserving your rental by calling our rental station prior to arrival to ensure your pump or scale is in stock. Rental agreements completed by 12 noon will be delivered the same business day Monday through Friday to: Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island City or Manhattan Residents.

UPS same day shipping is available when rental agreements are completed by 3 pm eastern standard time. Same Day Delivery to Brooklyn residents $25.00 ( Pickup $25.00 is optional or return it in person at no charge to you to our rental location in Brooklyn ).
There is a small security deposit we collect once which is refunded upon return.

Which rental duration period is right for me?

If you are new to the use of the Hospital-Grade breast pump rental, start with the minimum. If you have used the pump with your previous baby, remember that every breastfeeding experience maybe different. Rental duration offered is 1, 3 or 5 months. Our rental period is structured to fit the need of a new mom. If you are not sure how long you’re pumping need will last. We recommend to start with the rental time of definite need. We do not prorate early returns for a refund. Rental contract chosen at initial rental is for the full term of the rental and no refunds will be given for early return. You may extend your rental period if needed longer. Email reminder will follow a week prior to the due back date.

Rental payments will be automatically renewed until rented item is returned whether in use or not. If the credit card is declined, your account will be suspended and sent to Medela LLC for collection purposes.

One month is our minimum. No partial refunds will be issued if returned early.

Are there any parts or accessories included in my rental order?

Accessories are NOT included in your rental, but maybe purchased separately for an additional cost. Complete accessories and parts, if needed maybe purchased from Worldwide Surgical or any other preferred retailer. Shipping charges will be waived for any parts added to your rental order. If needed as a separate order, shipping charges will apply. You are not obligated to purchase parts from Worldwide Surgical.

One way shipping charge will be added to ship a breast pump or a baby scale rental order. This will cover Ground shipping one way (optional return label may be purchased separately when ready to return). Tracking Information will be e-mailed as soon as it becomes available. Signature is required. Lessee is responsible for returning Rental Item by the due back date. Terms of rentals will begin on the day of shipment date of arrival. Rental agreements received on or before 3pm. EST will be shipped the same day. We ship Mondays through Fridays, excludes weekends and Holidays. Breast Pump or Baby Scales may be rented in person from our Brooklyn location during our normal business hours Monday through Friday. Driver's license or state id and valid credit card is required.

Prepaid return label is available as a separate purchase upon request.

Transit time is 1 business day when shipped to the following states: NY, NJ, CT, MA, RI, DE, MD and some Cities of PA. It may take 2 to 5 business days in transit when shipped to other states.

In the event lessee decides to cancel their rental after ship date and wishes to return rental before their due date; lessee is STILL HELD RESPONSIBLE for the minimum of a ONE MONTH rental payment of the item rented. Shipping charges are not refundable.

Delivery

To rent the Medela Symphony & Medela Baby Weigh Scale or Ameda Elite and Ameda Platinum breast pumps for same day delivery is available if your rental agreement is completed by 12 noon. You will need to contact Worldwide Surgical to place your order. You will get same day rental delivery if you live in Brooklyn. Same Day messenger delivery in Brooklyn is $25.00, or Queens, Long Island City and Manhattan delivery is $45.00 - $55.00.

What if my package does not arrive when expected?

Unfortunately, unavoidable delays may occur during transit. If this will apply to your package, Worldwide Surgical will re-adjust rental start date to the date of arrival. Please call us or email us as soon as this occurs so we may adjust the date accordingly.

In the event lessee decides to cancel their rental after ship date and wishes to return the rental item before their due date; lessee is STILL RESPONSIBLE for the minimum of a ONE MONTH rental payment of the item rented. Shipping charges are not refundable.

What if my pump stops working?

If you’re experiencing an issue with your rental pump, our troubleshooting guide may help you resolve the issue. You may also reach out to us for troubleshooting assistance. Have your pump and accessories in front of you when you call.

If you’re still having difficulty with your pump after following these troubleshooting steps, please contact us at 718-648-8130 and we will make arrangements to exchange your pump at no cost to you.

Can I rent the Medela Symphony or Ameda and file for insurance reimbursement?

Yes! Renting the Medela Symphony costs $80 per month. You may also consider to rent Symphony Plus or Symphony with rechargeable battery which is $85.00 per month. To rent Ameda Elite costs $75.00 per month & Ameda Platinum $85.00 per month from Worldwide Surgical. You will need to buy Medela Symphony Double Accessory kit or Ameda Dual HygieniKit in order to use your rental pump. Every insurance company is different and may have different rules and guidelines for possible reimbursement to you. Call your insurance to find out if you will be able to get reimbursed. You may also request assistance from Worldwide Surgical to help file reimbursement insurance claim for your rental pump.

How do I return my breast pump or baby scale rental?

When ready to return, be sure to ship your return on time to ensure on time arrival & avoid financial responsibility for a new rental cycle. Please check your pump is in clean condition (i.e. visible or excessive milk residue and/or dust) to avoid $10.00 cleaning fee.

Ship it on your own:

You may ship your Rental back to us using UPS, Fedex or USPS. Your rental must arrive on or before your due back date (please check copy of your last rental renewal) or call us at (718)648-8130. We ask that you email your tracking information to our rental unit as soon as this information becomes available.

You may also purchase a UPS CALL TAG (Return Label) from us. We will e-mail a return label upon request. You may use the same shipping box your pump was delivered in. If you wish, you may drop your return off by any UPS station or simply call or e-mail us to arrange your package pick up from your home or office.
